USA CHAMPIONSHIPS

This past week, Hazel, mom, dad and I flew to Oregon to support Dorian at the Track and Field USA Championships.  We stayed with some wonderful friends whom Phillip and I met while touring with Missoula. They live in Falls City, OR.  We had a wonderful time seeing the beautiful sights, catching up with the [...]

Flower Power

Yes Father’s Day and  our 4th wedding anniversary fell on the same day this year, Sunday, June 21st, also the first day of summer!  How did I spend this momentous day?…..Husbandless.  Phillip left this morning to drive to Pennsylvania.  He is training a new tour team for Missoula Children’s Theatre (the company we worked for during our first year [...]

Classic Miscommunication

Hazel is a late-to-bed-er.  It was completely against her nature to submit to a 6:30-7:00pm bedtime during the school year.  Now, since it is summer, we have been letting her stay up later.  Tonight I tried to put her down at 8:30, she cried and cried.  Phillip came in from outside and said “it isn’t even 9 yet” to which [...]

18 months

Her ears were clear for the first time in months!  Yeah!  No tubes!  She also received two shots and she didn’t even cry.  I can’t remember her height and weight stats right off, but based on her percentiles, she is tall and skinny, guess [...]

Arkansas Vacation

We have been vacationing in Arkansas this past week.  The primary reason for the trip was to watch my brother run at the NCAA Outdoor National Championships which were being held at the U of A.  We decided to go down a couple days early to spend some quality time with Dorian before the entire [...]

Seven Things

My friend Bre’anna tagged me so now I must obey.  Basically once you are tagged you have to post a list of seven interesting things about yourself.  Here are mine…
1.  I would like to run a marathon someday soon.   My brother inspires me and I know that,  once upon a time, I too had the running [...]
