We signed Callum up for soccer after discovering our dear friend was coaching.  We missed the cut-off, but coach Alison was able to get us in and on her team.  We had one practice on Thursday and then a game on Saturday.

The shenanigans of 3-5 year old soccer playing are hilarious.

GAME DAY!

My favorite moment from the game on Saturday was when coach Alison sat the team down at (half time?)  And said “Let me give ya’ll some constructive criticism…Callum, try to play without holding my hand and Vake, stop tackling poeple.”

(he played in a temporary jersey due to the late sign-up)

Despite one crying fit when Callum had to leave the field for a drink, I think he had a pretty good time.

However, he prefers practice to the actual games.

sideline shots are the best

Vake, after being ejected (by his mom, the coach) for tackling.  Total disbelief.

I laugh whenever I look at this.

soccer10 I sure hope Callum continues to enjoy playing on these organized recreation leagues.  These games are so fun to watch!
