Since we were so close to Disney, we couldn’t resist spending at least one day at the park.
We decided to visit, The Magic Kingdom. It was a full 10 hour day and the kids actually held up far better than I had thought they would. We didn’t have a stroller or a kid leash so I was certain we would be dealing with melt downs and possibly a lost child…or two.
Thankfully, we experienced neither. And besides the occasional “I’m hungry” the kids really seemed to enjoy their time as well.
Obligatory shots in front of the castle
We hit a 3D show to start the day, then we headed over to our first and really only REAL ride of the day. The Rocky Mountain railroad. It was awesome.
Callum and Mema were not big fans but Hazel would have ridden on it all day. (She only looks scared cause she thought we were going to get wet).
Then we caught the parade and saw all of our favorite princesses, including Anna and Elsa!
We stopped for some quick corporal punishment.
The slightly disturbing yet enduring “It’s a Small World” ride-They were pretending to be scared
Then the kids worked on the sword in the stone for a bit.
We caught a spontaneous clown show while we were meandering about, comparing line wait times…..
And we ended the day with “Part of Your World” and “The Pirates of The Caribbean”
It was a fun and exhausting day. I think we got a lot in and still managed to have fun and not be too rushed. I would love to go back in a couple years for a whole family Disney vacation. It really is a magical place!
